Who We Are

In 2003, Teens In Perspective, Inc. or T.I.P. began as a vision to impact the lives of young girls from underprivileged communities where multiple and various barriers such as poverty, drugs and violence, past hurts/ abuse, strained family relationships, low self-esteem, and lack of life skills hindered their growth and limited their opportunities.

What We Do

The vision is to provide young girls with a safe, healthy environment to strengthen, help empower and teach them to become effective change agents in their own lives and in the lives of others; providing them with the very thing they desire and need in life…structure, love, and guidance for added balance.

TIP Member Level System Awards
Throughout the year, TIP members work on various tasks (book presentations, reciting TIP's mission statement, attend designated lifeskills trainings, oratory presentations, open savings account, etc.) on one of the four levels, to build skills.

TIP's level system is a way for its members to gradually achieve designated task/build skills on each level, moving at their own pace. There are 4 levels in the level system in which members must stay on for a certain amount of time prior to moving to the next level. During the annual awards dinner, each member who have met their level goals, receive that level's award (i.e. TIP braclet, polo shirt, bag, throw, or plaque).
